5 Awesome Sailing Influencers You Should Follow Today
Ahh the world of influencing. Up until now, being that I am bit older (he he) I had no idea what the heck all the fuss was about posting pretty pictures, writing blogs and building an audience. That is until people started to follow me! Captain Gino. Sailing Influencers are awesome because they are real people, on real adventures! If you like my blog, here are a few more cool crystal-blue sailing connoisseurs to follow. Check em’ out.
Gone With The Wynns
Way back in the day Jason and Niki Wynn traded in everyday life to satisfy their “wear-out-your-shoes sense of adventure” Now, their vessel (aka sailboat) is their home and they are currently sailing through French Polynesia. If you want to follow their epic sailing adventures check out their Instagram account here: @the_Wynns
Alex Jimenez (aka TheYachtGuy)
Think parties on super Yachts are only for the ritzy the blitzy, and the famous? Well they are, but Alex Jimenez, a humble guy that hustled to make ends meet as a kid, now earns his right of passage by taking pictures of expensive Yachts. And, gets paid the big bucks to @mention fancy yachts available for charter. From middle-class to high-class riches and yachts, we just love TheYachtGuy

Sailing Nandji-Bonita
Looking to give up your life on land for flippers and margaritas? Then you should follow this hip (and sexy) young couple who, “decided there has to be a better life style than working all day to afford the mortgage for the house you are never in”. This cool couple, Yoshi and Bonita (and dog Marley) set off to sail the big deep blue in July 2017. And, get this, with no sailing experience! They never looked back.
If you are looking to be inspired by an easier breezier life at sea, you have to follow this remarkable Instagram power sailing couple: @sailing_nandji
Torie (aka Mermaidtorie)
She’s a redhead (perhaps not natural, but it definitely suits her) that according to her red-hot Instagram page, “Spends her free time on the water exploring the best things Florida (and other water destinations) have to offer.” While she’s not technically a sailing influencer, I think Fishing, Bikinis and Travel as a byline may inspire any average joe or judy to get out on the water.
You can find her Instagram page @mermaidtorie
Sailing World
Okay, so maybe Sailing World doesn’t fit under an individual “influencer”. But, this online site certainly provides up-to-date digital content relating to hot sailing trends posted at least three times a week. Sailing World is your go-to site and magazine for the best sailboat reviews, sail racing news, regatta schedules, sailing gear reviews and more.
Check it out here.
Cheers!
